Boruto is better than Naruto. So they can cram more stuff into regular episodes.

The show runs concurrently with the Manga until a major plot-point that connects the Anime and the Manga. Unlike Naruto Boruto would also have no qualms getting rid of threats instead of wasting words. Boruto is better than a bulk of Shippuden right off the bat tbh.
